This 3-day, 2-night journey is the perfect option for adventurous travelers who want to experience the grandeur of the canyon up close and then continue their Peruvian journey to Puno and Lake Titicaca.
Trek into the Canyon’s Depths, beyond the typical viewpoints and hike into the immense Colca Canyon, following winding trails to the villages at the bottom.
Witness the Majestic Condors: Visit the famous “Cruz del Condor” viewpoint, where you can watch the incredible spectacle of the Andean condor, the world’s largest flying bird, soaring on the thermal currents.

Our Colca Canyon Trekking Arequipa service will begin with pickup from your hotel in Paracas at 3:30 am. We will board our tour bus and depart for the Colca Canyon.
After a 3-hour drive, we will arrive in the town of Chivay, stopping at a restaurant for breakfast.
We will then continue our journey to Cruz del Condor, where we will stay for 45 minutes to watch the condors fly.
Then we will then head to the town of Cabanaconde for lunch.
After lunch, we will begin our hike via Pampa de San Miguel.
After a 3-hour and 30-minute hike (downhill), we will arrive in San Juan de Chucho.
Dinner and overnight in rustic cabins.
7:00 am. After breakfast, we will continue our trekking along the canyon, passing through and visiting the villages of Coshnirgua and Malata. After visiting these mysterious villages perched on the mountain, we will head to the Sangalle Oasis, where we will arrive after a two-hour hike.
In Sangalle, we can rest and spend a refreshing day in the 20°C pools. Lunch will follow, followed by a relaxing afternoon. We will then have a family dinner and spend the night in bungalows and/or small cabins.
5:00 am. After coordinating with the guide, we wake up very early at 5:00 a.m. to begin the approximately 3-hour hike up to the village of Cabanaconde.
Upon arrival in Cabanaconde, we’ll have breakfast to recharge our batteries.
Then we’ll head to the town of Chivay, where we’ll enjoy the thermal baths of La Calera, which reach 38°C (98°F), where we can soak in the relaxing waters.
After an estimated time, we’ll return to Chivay.
We’ll then return to the town of Chivay and make one last stop for lunch.
During this tour, you’ll be able to observe the beautiful landscapes this valley offers.
The bus will also make a 10-minute stop at the Patapampa Volcano Viewpoint (4,950 meters above sea level), another stop at Chucura Volcano, and another stop at Lagunillas.
7:00 PM. Disembarkation: Puno Bus Terminal.
Upon arrival in Puno, transfers are available to your accommodation, provided it is located in the city center.

Climate: Subtropical (full sun during the day and cold at night, dry) until Cabanaconde. Semi-tropical within the canyon (26 to 28°C during the day, full sun, and generally rainy afternoons from December to March; mild nights).

You will only bring the necessary luggage for the three days on the expedition. The rest of your luggage will be received by our agency staff to prevent you from carrying it with you.
The equipment will be supervised by our agency’s security and will be delivered to you before departure to Puno or upon arrival in Puno. Upon receiving it, you can verify that all your luggage is in the same condition as when it was delivered.
At the end of the trek, instead of continuing to Puno, you can also return to the city of Arequipa (check price).
