Machupicchu and Sacred Valley

Itinerary

Day 1. Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

At 7:30 a.m. We will begin our tour of Machupicchu and Sacred Valley with pickup from your hotel in Cusco in our tour vehicle heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (a 1-hour drive to Pisac). We will arrive at the ruins of Pisac and enjoy an approximately 1-hour guided tour.

Then we will continue towards the Willka Mayu River, or Sacred River, and arrive in Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, where we will have a buffet lunch (typical Andean cuisine).

After lunch, we will travel 30 minutes by vehicle to the town of Ollantaytambo.

At this archaeological site, we will have a 1-hour guided tour, highlighting the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Princess Baths, and Andean terraces.

After a guided tour of the Ollantaytambo ruins, we will head to the train station to board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be transferred to your hotel where you will spend the night. The next day, you will visit Machu Picchu.

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel to provide you with all the details for your visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 2. Tour to Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco.

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the bus station to board the bus that will take us on a 30-minute trip along a winding road to the wonderful citadel of Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour for approximately 2 hours.
You will then have free time to stroll around the citadel to take photos, videos, etc.

Later, we will depart back to Aguas Calientes to board the train to Ollantaytambo.
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, a representative from our agency will be waiting for you at the train station with your name on a sign. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Cusco.
