Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Cusco, transfer to your hotel and City Tour Cusco.

We will begin our Machu Picchu Tourist Package 5 days with pick up in the morning from bus station or the Cusco airport.

13:30 hrs. In the afternoon we will begin theCity tour Cusco, visiting the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Korikancha; we will make a pleasant walk through the bohemian district of San Blas, cradle of the most renowned artists and craftsmen of Cusco:

Will visit its beautiful church, with an impressive pulpit,
a work of wood filigree representing the fruits of the region and visit some of the craft workshops that are located in its small Main Square.

On the way back, will we pass by Hatunrumiyoc Street where you will appreciate the Stone of the Twelve Angles.

We will continue outside the city to visit the Inca complexes of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara and the impressive Sacsayhuaman Fortress, strategically built on a hill, dominating Cusco, famous for its huge carved stones assembled with astounding precision, forming the external walls of the complex.

Some of these stones exceed 9 m in height and weigh more than 350 tons.

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

07:30 am We will continue this second day Machu Picchu Tourist Package 5 days with the pick up from your hotel in our tourist mobility towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas (1 hour away). We will arrive at the ruins of Pisac:

Here in the ruins of Pisac you will have a guided tour of approximately 1 hour

On the Vilcanota River, you will be able to appreciate the typical Indian market that takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and on Sunday you will be able to experience the customs of its inhabitants in The typical market. (On Sundays mass is celebrated in Quechua, the native language).

Afterwards, we will continue towards Urubamba where you can have lunch in a relaxing place in the valley.

On the afternoon, you will continue our route through Calca and Urubamba on the way to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance of this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the inhabitants of the jungle;

Ollantaytambo It is constituted by a series of overlapping terraces.
You will have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the town and thus have a clear idea of how this military, religious and cultural center was during the Inca Empire.

After having visited the impressive Valley of the Incas, at the indicated time you will board the train for your departure to Aguas Calientes.

18:00 hrs. Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 03: Guided tour of Machu Picchu.

In the morning, we will head to the bus station to depart from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu.

Upon arrival at Machu Picchu, you will meet our guide and then you will enter the Inca Citadel, where you will enjoy a two-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu.
Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the citadel on your own and then you will board the bus to return to Aguas Calientes.

In this town, you will have time for lunch before the train departs for Ollantaytambo, (depending on availability).
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 04: Trekking to Rainbow Mountain, Full Day

04:30 a.m. At the agreed time, we will pick you up at your hotel for a trip of approximately 2 hours to the village of Pitumarca, a picturesque town south of the city of Cusco:

In this place we will make a stop to buy a few things, such as rain ponchos, mineral water or energy drinks, snacks, etc.

Then we will continue our journey through magical landscapes that blend perfectly between mysterious snow-capped mountains, multicolored crops, Andean camelids, and deep valleys to observe villages as Ocefina, Chilca:

this will be where we’ll descend from our transport.
In this place you will be able to taste a nutritious Andean breakfast with the residents of the area and have some time to organize the rest of the things that we need for the walk that will take approximately 3 hours (7.5 km) up the mountain,

We’ll go through the town of Machuraccay and then to the foothills of Vinicunca where villagers have organized a checkpoint and collect 10 soles to enter this mystical place,

From this place we’ll begin to walk a path
From here step by step the landscape of mountains of intense colors is changing and small streams of ice water run through that nourish and give life to the valley,

We will see how the colors around us are changing with the movement of the unpredictable weather of the mountains.

On top of the mysterious mountain of 7 colors (Vinicunca), there is enough time to take pictures and capture images of memory time and enjoy a nice snack while sight-seeing.

After this wonderfull experience, we’ll start our way down.
The way down is much calmer and more easily, arriving to the town of Chilca and having lunch

Then we’ll return to our bus which will bring us back to Cusco to return to Cusco, arriving approximately at 6:00 pm.

Day 05: Transfer to the bus station or airport in Cusco

In this last day of our Machu Picchu Tour Package, we will conclude with pickup from your hotel at the coordinated time to transfer you to the airport or bus station.
